Chief Architect

We are a new, seed funded start-up that has been dubbed 'the TripIt.com of job search". Launched in early 2011 to rave reviews and write-ups in US News & World Report, About.com, AOL Jobs, CNN, ERE, and HR Executive Magazine, we close the dreaded 'application black-hole' by providing job seekers with automatic updates on their job applications from 2,100 leading employers as well as targeted job search recommendations based on their actual job search activity. We're still in the garage... but are generating revenue and starting to scale and we're looking for a Chief Architect to help us rock the $5 Billion jobs space.

What You Need

Business Skills:
  • Early stage, lean start-up experience
  • Comfortable working with white board "business requirements" rather than specs
  • "Follow me" leadership approach
  • Track record of hiring and retaining rock star technical talent
  • Passion for solving business problems... not just elegant code.
Technical Skills:
  • We're a RoR shop. You need to be a rockstar.
  • A passion for simple & reductive UI.
  • Old school software design experience...you must grok design patterns and be dedicated to clean, readable (not just writable) code.
  • Deep, hands-on database design experience.
