Online Booking Services via Rails

We are revolutionizing the world of online booking for services that require appointments, starting first with the Spa, Beauty, and Fitness worlds of NYC. Having launched in September, we are ramping up significantly and are looking to add senior and junior talent to our small but very effective development team.

Senior Rails/Merb Developer

• 5-10 years of distributed server-side application design and development with object-oriented languages of your choice (other than Ruby), preferably in a high-traffic web environment
• 1-2 years of Rails experience, designing and deploying at least one production Rails application, using a minimum of Rails 1.1.6
• Extremely comfortable working in a Linux environment with a variety of client- and server-side technologies such as MySQL, AJAX, SOAP, Javascript, CSS, Pound, and Mongrel. Bonus: Nginx, Apache, PostgreSQL, Oracle
• Well-versed in design patterns, caching methods, queuing designs, load-balancing algorithms, and test-driven development. Bonus: in-depth SEO experience, search algorithms
• Relishes the opportunity to work in an XP-oriented shop with aggressive deadlines, automated builds, and heavy reliance on Trac and Subversion
