We are a new Internet company focused on creating unique social and online entertainment experiences. The founders hail from the online games industry with several years of experience as founders and executives at Pogo, Electronic Arts and iWin. We are ambitiously seeking to build a world-class team of the best and brightest individuals, who are fueled by passion, creativity, curiosity, execution and each other. Our offices are located in a cool brick and timber building in downtown San Francisco.

The Opportunity

As employee #6, you will be our first Ruby on Rails developer and Senior Engineer. You will have a major role in defining our overall technical approach and solving complex problems. As a small company, we also encourage everyone to contribute creative product ideas, so we welcome your input and participation in all aspects of the product development process. This position will report to the CTO/Co-Founder.

Responsibilities

• Design and implementation of features from requirements, in an iterative/collaborative environment
• Work efficiently and take initiative to solve complex problems 
• Write clean, well-organized code

Skills

• Experience with RoR
• Excellent command of OOP principles 
• Excellent command of SQL and relational databases 
• An understanding of multi-threading, and large web sites (farm architectures) 
• A degree in CS or equivalent experience
